On Wednesday night, the Seattle Kraken revealed their picks to the public at Gas Works Park.

The whole roster was released by mid-afternoon on Wednesday.

The leaks from earlier in the day suggested that the Kraken had selected Brandon Tanev from the Penguins' roster.

In addition to the $2.9 million that was freed up by moving Jared McCann to the Maple Leafs, the pick frees up $3.5 million in cap space for the Penguins. Pittsburgh's expected cap space for next season has increased to $7,446,795.

According to General Manager Ron Hextall, the Penguins are interested in re-signing Cody Ceci, Freddy Gaudreau, and Evan Rodrigues who are unrestricted free agents.

No doubt, the Flyers are still in the picture, in terms of potential expansion candidates, as long as two conditions are met: 1) expansion occurs, and 2) the team succeeds. It will be about numbers; how can we fit them in our budget?

Hextall guaranteed that Mark Jankowski will not receive a qualifying offer if the Penguins have any of their restricted free agents left on their roster. While unrestricted free agents Zach Aston-Reese and Radim Zohorna still have to be re-signed, Restricted free agents players still need to be re-signed as well.

At the time of his acquisition from the Penguins, McCann was also left unprotected by the Maple Leafs, therefore he was also drafted by the Kraken. You have the following further picks:
